Jio - A new Game Changer in India.

Collaboration Details:

Google has invested Rs 33,737 crore into Jio.  Mr Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet further added that he is  excited that ,this joint collaboration will focus on increasing access for hundreds of millions of Indians who don’t currently own a smartphone while improving the mobile experience for all. “Google has empowered millions of Indians to access helpful information and, like Jio, is a force for change and innovation. We welcome Google onboard and are excited about our partnership for what it can deliver to Indians, from universalising Internet usage to deepening the new digital economy and providing a prime mover to India’s economic growth. Together, we hope to play a strong facilitative role in the transformative journey of building a new, Digital India,” said Mukesh D Ambani.

  • Jio,s 5G solution is dedicated to our Prime Minister,s vision of  "ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT ".
  • Since the low and mid-range occupancy of indian smartphone user is quite high Ambani announced that it has partnered with Google to develop and launch a new 5G supported affordable entry-level smartphone. With Google, the company will develop an operating system based on Android to power this affordable 5G smartphone that the company plans to launch soon.
  • Jio is determined to make India 2G Mukt.
  • Jio-Google tie up can shake up Indian,s smartphone market and can threaten Chinese Players.
           

 From above pi-chart we can easily see that chinese company has a lot of market share in their hand. So this collaboration will play a big role to capture the market share and will try to satisfy the need of Indian customers as "Make In India " product.
  • It could be cheapest operator-bundled 5G device worldwide and Jio could address the digital divide in other emerging markets such as Africa and Middle East too. 
  • Now coming to the point , the impact on other telecom operators in India. These sectors may shrink more because indian customers can get cheap 5G data with affordable smartphone price.

  • This collaboration will be a win-win situation for both the tech-giants . With affordable new 5G plans Jio will  also attract corporate and education sectors by providing them a new software platforms.
  • Jio will also try to fill  the vacant space created by banning of chinese apps. Jio will use this oppertunity and will create new digital platforms.  
     
  •  And with the success of new Android based operating Systems Google will also attract the other smartphone manufacturers company .
